After a side trip involving a fast 1 mile scramble through a slick rock canyon, we ended up in Chesler Park. As we approached camp cp3, we slowed way down. With our backs to a a large rock wall, and the sun baking the camp, we simply stopped to look, listen, and sit. The silence was amazing and the rock warm. You could completely forget that this was January in Utah, and as the sun began to set, reality returned, and we raced back to camp, not wanting to get caught hiking in the dark.
Check out the map on the 1/26 post to find this spot. The terrain in very interesting when you zoom in.

Great landscape.
Fascinating. I love all the layers of mountains and the subtle shading.
Sure is interesting! I really enjoy all these hikes you take us on.
