End of the Road

The road ended, so the exploring needed to be done on foot. The ridge behind is the Continental Divide, an imaginary line that divides all rivers in the US. If a river is west of the line, it heads to the Pacific Ocean. If on the east side, it heads to the Atlantic Ocean. Our water heads to the Pacific. The clouds put on a good show that day as well.

Some snow left. Nice photo. It seems extra peaceful and serene there.

The stamping machine was a wonderful find! Think of all the stories these hills could tell!

It's neat to know about that continental divide. Most folks have heard of it = but have they heard of the other three divides in North America? I've been to two of them - the one you show and part of another one at Chicago.
