Old Friends

For 30 years, we have driven by this old mining building outside of Ouray. It has always stood firm, but this year it seems to be giving up as time marches on.

Bill, you've captured a wonderful scene here. This is a Colorado mining vision, suitable for a calendar or a frame on the wall.

I love the rustic beauty in this senic shot. I agree with Annie, this should be in a calendar or framed.

Yes, striking shot! A perfect scenoghraphy for a film such as "The Untouchable"!

We've been watching that boarding house for years also. Seems that the 2008 winter gave the foundation quite a kick. The lower structure is mostly collapsed, and the frame of the house is all that is holding it together. I'll contact folks in Ouray to see if there's anything we can do to offer remediation or reclamation of the structure.
