Loveland Pass

I just got back from a two night trip back to the Denver area, and of course I had the cameras with me. Over the next few days, I will give you an idea of what it is like between here and there. This shot was taken on the top of Loveland Pass. If you look closely you can see snowboarders carrying their boards up to the summit for a hard earned run. The up side, is that there are no lift ticket fees....or lifts.....

Whew...that makes me tired just looking at it. Great shot and lots of snow. the snow pack in the higher elevations of the Sierras is still about 5-6 feet. Its not filled with water though and there is a lot of concern about water rationing this summer.
Right now I'm so hot and sticky. the temps have cooled off to 98 and its 8PM. I may have to turn on the AC for a short time before bed. Hard to sleep if its too warm. Yes, 80's is ideal.
