A Winter Wonderland

G
rand Mesa is the world’s larges flat top mountain, leveling out over 10,000 feet. The top is covered with lakes and trees, and provides a perfect place for summer and winter activities. It may be warm down in Delta, but Cross Country skiing, show showing, skating, or snowmobiling are all easily an hour away, starting early in the fall, and lasting late into the spring.

We've heard about the major snowstorms in CO. We have relatives who are stuck . . .not a bad time or place to be stuck during the holidays, as long as you're prepared.

Luggi, Actually they are not a problem. The area is huge, and there are areas set aside for both sorts of activities.

Ruth, Not much in Delta, but the "Front Range" got nailed. We have a place we rent out in Conifer, near Denver, and they got around 4 feet of snow.

Bill, would you mind sharing some of that snow with the rest of us? There seems to be a general shortage this year!

Merry Christmas!
