A Blanket of White

The sounds of the motorcycles have faded away, and the tree that once tried to impress the cows with its color has given up. It now sits quietly, in stark contract to the fresh snow that blankets the Dobies, waiting for spring.

Very cool picture! I have been meaning to write and tell you thanks for stopping by my site, but I was going to look on a map first to find out where Delta is...alas, I have not yet made it to the map. We lived in the Denver/Boulder area for about 6 years, but from your pictures, I would guess you are not near there. Love the pics you have posted. I will visit often to enjoy your work! :)

Beautiful blanket of cold. From the looks of the clouds more is on the way.
I really must visit Colorado sometime.

Wonderful wintry scene. I was talking about Colorado yesterday with some friends of mine and we all wished we lived there. When I saw your picture today I thought "Yep, that'd be the place to celebrate Mother Winter." We have mostly brown to look at here all winter long.

OJ: Someone told us Delta was in a “banana belt” of sorts. When bananas are ready for banana bread, but we are not ready for banana bread, the bananas go into the freezer. I think this is what they may be referring to……..
