Utah On Fire?

Could it be a forest fire? Is the state of Utah completely ablaze? No, it’s just another spectacular sunset as seen from our perch above the valley.

It DOES look like the sky's aflame.

Bill, just read your comment on Luce's blog about your son being in YWAM. My son was in YWAM for 9 years before he came back to the states to get his nursing degree. He plans to go back out on the mission field sometime in the future. Right now its marriage, family and oncology nursing that is taking his time. Its nice to find someone that knows about YWAM.

Kris: Perhaps you are pointing your camera in the wrong direction? :)

Seriously, I am not sure why this would be the case, but I have noted that we get more red evening skies in the West than we did when we lived in Virginia or Michigan. Perhaps it is an angle thing. We have very good visibility to the horizon here, and most times (not all), these colors are low in the sky.

Photowannabe: My brother-in-law first got us interested in YWAM. One of his daughters was active in it and he really encouraged our oldest son Sam, Sam did DTS in Wisconsin, and went to Turkey for 2 months. He followed up with SBF, and is now on staff, learning the realities of raising support :)

My brother-in-law’s daughter just got married. She married a guy she met through YWAM, and there were YWAMers from all over the world who attended the wedding. Even the pastor came from the other side of the globe. My son attended, and felt right at home with the group. YWAM is a cool family. We plan to encourage each of our kids to do a DTS when done with school.
