Winter Sunset

The sun made a good attempt, but it was unable to melt off the snow on the dobies.

How late into the summer is it before the snow is usually gone from the Dobies?

Annie, We got here in April of last year, and there was no snow on the Dobies, but snowmobiles were still running on Grand Mesa. The mesa did not clear till late May. The Dobies are 5000 feet below the mesa top, and April-June are wonderful down here.

Hi Bill, thanks for your visit on Istanbul DP. Renting a desk is propably a good idea for me too. This picture of sunset is very beatiful.
