All kidding aside, it was a very enjoyable of wine to have with Thanksgiving dinner! We did however get a good laugh at the table, and I snatched the bottle for a quick picture as DDP is never far from my thoughts :)

You mean the wine producers of California don't you? As they, for the last 25 years, beat French wines in the taste tests among international taste-testers!

Re wine tasting, 25 years seems a long time to me, hardly credible! And it all depends who the tester are. There are acquired tastes.
Hardly credible. Hmmmm. You are right about one thing, it was NOT 25 YEARS AGO. It was 30 years ago. 1976. Famous 1976 Wine-Tasting (or when France lost the crown)".
It was repeated last summer. California won AGAIN. oh well.
So, assuming that CA is not fixing things, we will see a vintage 20something wine from Delta in the next go around!
Not fixed. It was done in Paris. And it was a blind taste-testing. Actually, they thought the fix was in for the French wines to win. He only threw in a couple of California's so not to be accused of not being fair (never thought the french judges would choose them). It ruined the careers of the french taste-testers. That is ridiculous.
