High Speed Copper

One of the hazards of doing a daily photo blog, is that your eyes are always on the lookout for contrast, color, shapes, etc., and sometimes your body must follow. I was minding my own business driving back home, when my eyes locked on to the reflection of the low sun lighting up the train I was slowly passing. My body responded by accelerating up to my turn, where I parked in the median, grabbed my ever vigilant Cannon, ran across the highway, and quickly approached this fast moving blur of copper color. I hope you enjoy the fruits of this spur of the moment decision.

Hi Bill, Maybe one has a better vision of the surrounding world with a camera in hands...I think photographers share this pleasure of always being on the lookout of what is to be seen.

Beautiful pic, at sunstet, with this train to let us think of a travel we could set out across the great plains, in a cattle car, like hoboes during the Great Depression...

Spur of the moment pics. can be the best. You have captured motion and color in this one.

I like it very much. It's almost enough to make me think about being a hobo, catching the freight train, heading out of town toward the west and the glorious future . . . Almost.

LOL You are so right about always being on the lookout for a photo op when you do a daily blog. I'm always stopping or parking in places I shouldn't be.

The lighting here is spectacular. Great shot!
